Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Locations: Egypt, Cairo
Job Purpose:
To support and coordinate supply chain activities between the pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors to ensure timely product supply and effective inventory management across Biopharma-mea operations. The role is responsible for demand planning, LPO and tender quotations, purchase order processing through ERP systems, shipment coordination and sales & stocks management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate supply activities between, suppliers, Biopharma-mea, and its distributors.
- Prepare the quotations and submit to distributors
- Prepare and process purchase orders through ERP systems based on approved demand and stock requirements.
- Coordinate shipment and import documentation with suppliers, logistics providers, sub-distributors, and internal functions.
- Track shipments and communicate delays, supply risks, or documentation issues affecting product availability.
- Monitor stock levels, coverage, expiry dates, and highlight potential shortages or excess stock.
- Prepare regular reports, demand, open orders, shipments, expected deliveries, and supply risks.
- Ensure orders deliveries to hospitals, receive, review, and consolidate sales and stock reports of distributors
- Support demand planning and forecasting based on sales trends, inventory levels, lead times, and market requirements.
- Maintain awareness of pharmaceutical shipment, import, serialization, labeling, and documentation requirements across GCC and Egypt markets.
- Support new product launches, special import requirements, and other supply-related activities.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and distributors on supply requirements and expected deliveries.
- Compliance with all Company policies, applicable quality and regulatory requirements, and local laws is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, demand planning, procurement, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain processes in Gulf countries and Egypt.
- Experience in preparing and processing purchase orders using ERP systems and maintaining accurate order and supply records.
- Strong experience in demand planning and forecasting, including analysis of sales trends, inventory levels, lead times, market requirements, and expected demand.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to analyze sales, stock, demand, forecast, and supply data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and timelines.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential supply risks, investigate issues, and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent coordination, follow-up, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders, shipments, markets, and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent command of English language, written and spoken. Arabic language capability is a plus.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
