About the job Remote Data and Typing Workflow Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time)
About the Role
Were hiring a Remote Data and Typing Workflow Assistant to support our clients and internal teams with a mix of data entry, transcription, and coordination work. You'll move between processing numerical records and preparing written documents from audio files while serving as a direct point of contact for clients. You can choose a part-time schedule of about 25 to 30 hours per week or a full-time schedule of about 35 to 40 hours per week, and you can structure your workday around your own rhythm.
What You'll Handle Day to Day
Your work will involve entering order details, shipment information, and other transactional data into our systems, then shifting to transcription assignments where you turn client audio into clean, readable documents. You will also meet with new clients in short video or chat sessions to confirm timelines, formatting needs, and project expectations, then document everything in our internal tools so the broader team knows exactly what is required.
You will oversee project flow by assigning tasks through platforms like Jira or Monday.com, checking progress, and making sure each assignment reaches the client by the agreed timeline. A big part of the role is quality review. You will perform second-pass checks on spreadsheets and transcripts to help us maintain strong accuracy standards, and you'll flag anything that needs correction or improvement so processes stay tight and reliable.
Each week, you will prepare simple status summaries that outline completed work and upcoming deadlines. After major project stages, you'll gather client feedback and share those insights with our operations group. You may also help create internal training materials by writing straightforward process guides, recording short tutorials, or participating in quarterly skill sessions for our data and typing teams.
What You Bring
You should have an associate degree or higher, although certificates in office or data-related subjects are also helpful. Two years of experience that includes both data entry and transcription will set you up for success. You should be confident leading brief virtual check-ins with clients, comfortable using spreadsheet tools and CRM platforms, and familiar with basic audio software like Express Scribe or Audacity. Strong written communication and the ability to juggle shifting tasks are important, along with a dependable home workspace and stable internet.
Why This Role Works Well for the Right Person
You'll develop a blend of data handling skills and transcription expertise that can open doors to broader operational and client-facing roles. This position puts you in direct contact with clients, giving you experience in managing expectations and shaping their overall experience. You'll have the freedom to organize your own schedule and pitch new ideas whenever you see a way to improve how we work. You'll collaborate with teams across data, customer operations, and IT, and you'll have a clear path toward roles like Operations Lead, Client Success Manager, or Data Services Specialist.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range starts around 18 to 24 dollars per hour for those entering the field and goes up to around 30 dollars per hour for more experienced candidates. Quarterly incentives are available based on client satisfaction and can add up to 8 percent of your base pay. PTO begins at 12 days in your first year along with 8 paid holidays. You'll also receive a monthly wellness credit of 100 dollars and an annual learning allocation of 500 dollars for professional growth. Team culture matters to us, so we host weekly virtual check-ins, friendly monthly challenges, and an annual retreat for full-time staff with travel support included.
How to Apply
If you are organized, comfortable working with both numbers and written documents, and enjoy supporting clients throughout their projects, send your resume and a short summary of an experience where you balanced data-related work with transcription tasks.
