The Role

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of collection team leaders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

  • Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and refine collection strategies to maximize recovery rates and minimize delinquencies.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance through KPIs, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Case Management: Handle escalated and complex collection cases, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and professional manner.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Customer

  • Service and Risk Management, to optimize the collections process and improve overall customer experience.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, collection rates, and other relevant metrics to senior management.

  • Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.


The Ideal Candidate

Experience:

  • Must have experience in managing team leaders

  • Currently working in retail credit or 3rd party agency

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections or a related field, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Must have experience in managing a team of 50+ FTEs

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and utilize data effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with collections software and tools, as well as proficiency in MS Office Suite.
