About the job Systems Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Systems Administrator to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing our IT infrastructure while ensuring system security, performance, and availability. This role requires a proactive professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and system infrastructure
Install, configure, and support hardware and software systems
Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance
Ensure system security through implementation of best practices, monitoring tools, and compliance standards
Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues in a timely manner
Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT operations and business needs
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures
Required Qualifications
Must be currently residing in the United States
Valid U.S. work authorization (citizen, permanent resident, or authorized work permit holder)
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Proficiency in networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator)
Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Work Environment
Fully remote role with flexible scheduling options
Must be available to work within U.S. business hours
