About the job Business Systems and Implementation Manager
We're looking for a Business Systems & Implementation Manager to take ownership of business systems, integrations, enhancements and implementations within a growing financial services business.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, operations and technology — someone who can understand a business problem, translate it into clear system requirements, and work with developers and technology providers to deliver the right solution.
This is not an IT support role, nor is it purely a project management position. You'll be responsible for taking ownership of the end-to-end business systems change lifecycle — from identifying the problem and gathering requirements through to implementation, adoption and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and coordinate system-related projects, enhancements, integrations and initiatives.
Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into clear functional requirements.
Map current and future-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and external developers/technology providers.
Review and challenge proposed technical solutions to ensure they are practical, scalable and fit for purpose.
Coordinate system implementations from initial concept through to go-live.
Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks and stakeholders.
Coordinate UAT, testing, defect resolution and business sign-off.
Assess the operational impact of system changes and help teams successfully adopt new functionality.
Understand data flows, APIs, integrations, databases, system dependencies and reporting requirements.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual processes, improve efficiency and get more value from existing systems.
We're looking for someone with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Information Technology, Business Management, Operations Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in business systems, business analysis, systems implementation, project management or a similar role.
- Experience working with external software developers or technology providers.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
- Experience coordinating or managing system implementations and roll-outs.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Technical Knowledge
You don't need to be a developer — but you do need to be technically strong enough to understand development conversations and challenge proposed solutions.
Experience with some of the following would be advantageous:
- APIs & system integrations
- Databases & SQL
- Data flows & data structures
- System architecture
- Software development lifecycles
- Workflow automation
- UAT & system testing
- Business Intelligence & reporting
- User permissions & access controls
- Agile methodologies
- System implementation & deployment
Experience within financial services, credit, lending, property, legal or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
Why This Role?
You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on how a growing business operates, helping shape its systems, processes and technology landscape.
You'll work across the business, gain exposure to strategic initiatives and play a key role in ensuring that technology doesn't simply get implemented — it actually makes the business better.
If you're a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Implementation Manager or Project Manager with strong technical understanding and you're ready for a role with genuine ownership and influence, we'd love to hear from you.
