UX Researcher (Hybrid/Remote Eligible + Internship Eligible)

BDAS is seeking a UX Researcher to shape how engineers, analysts, and operators interact with our data middleware, telemetry dashboards, and AI-driven tools. You'll turn user insight into clear design direction for complex technical products used in defense, aerospace, and commercial settings.

Location: Boulder, CO (Hybrid/Remote-eligible)

Responsibilities

• Plan and run user research (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, surveys) with technical and operational users
• Synthesize findings into personas, journey maps, and actionable recommendations
• Partner with engineering and data science to improve dashboards, visualization tools, and workflows
• Evaluate prototypes and live products for usability and accessibility
• Support client demos and gather feedback from customer environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Design, or related field
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods
• Ability to communicate research insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Miro, or Dovetail
• Bonus: experience with complex data or enterprise tools, or in defense/aerospace domains
