This key role will focus on managing and growing the client portfolio, as well as driving new business development in a dynamic and competitive market.

Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will oversee commercial activities related to paper industry clients in Germany, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Developing new business opportunities and acquiring new accounts in the paper sector.
  • Providing tailored chemical solutions to meet the unique needs of the paper manufacturing process, in collaboration with R&D and technical teams.
  • Conducting thorough market analysis and monitoring competitor activities to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Participating in trade fairs, industry events, and networking initiatives to represent the company and enhance brand visibility.
  • Achieving sales targets through strategic planning and execution while reporting regularly to senior management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Fluency in German (native or near-native) and strong proficiency in English.
  • Experience in sales or business development roles within the chemicals or paper industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical applications and processes within the paper manufacturing sector.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, combined with a client-focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel around 60% / 70% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.
