Senior Data Engineer -Hybrid Medellin

Job Summary
Seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing team as the first and only data-focused
specialist. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our
data infrastructure particularly setting up and managing our Snowflake data
warehouse. In addition, you will assist with the creation and maintenance of data
pipelines and be responsible for writing SQL queries for analytics and reporting.
This role is hybrid office / remote. You must demonstrate successful results while
working away from the office.

Minimum qualifications / experience
5+ years of experience with Snowflake
5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL or SQL database
2+ years of experience with MongoDB or NoSQL document database
4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a
proven track record of designing and implementing data warehousing solutions
preferably in an Enterprise environment.
Fluent in English

Additional qualifications / experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or 10+
years of practical experience).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their data-related
services.
Experience working with international teams
Experience with PowerBI

Key Responsibilities
Setup a data warehouse with Snowflake and data pipeline
Work in data migration projects
Export data for Business and Product analysis from SQL database
Work with multinational teams to accomplish tasks
Expectations
Be available during working hours and communicate availability
Define requirements proposals and present them to the Senior Vice President of
Technology for approval. Weight different options and explain pros and cons
Complete task on-time
Be able to suggest new technologies or tools to improve team efficiency

Additional Requirements

The Data Engineer must be able to work at least 2 days a week from the office in
Medellin and once per quarter come to the office for an entire week. They must be
able to enter the US and Europe for Business trips.
