About the role

We are seeking an experienced detail oriented full time Bookkeeper to join our team in a medium sized business enterprise in Cronulla, NSW.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Processing weekly Payroll & HR for employees of multiple entities
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and BAS reports.
  • Assisting our external accountant with the preparation of tax returns
  • Maintaining general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers
  • Completing bank reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Providing administrative support
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a small practice or similar environment
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices and procedures
  • Proficient in using accounting software such as MYOB or Xero
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Certificate IV Bookkeeping or equivalent
