About the role
We are seeking an experienced detail oriented full time Bookkeeper to join our team in a medium sized business enterprise in Cronulla, NSW.
What you'll be doing
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Processing weekly Payroll & HR for employees of multiple entities
- Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and BAS reports.
- Assisting our external accountant with the preparation of tax returns
- Maintaining general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers
- Completing bank reconciliations and cash flow management
- Providing administrative support
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and taxation requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and procedures
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a small practice or similar environment
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices and procedures
- Proficient in using accounting software such as MYOB or Xero
- Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Certificate IV Bookkeeping or equivalent
