Job Summary:

The Territory Head for the East Coast, US in the Medical Devices Vertical will lead the strategic direction and expansion of a $20M+ portfolio. This individual will play a pivotal role in growing clients footprint in the medical devices industry, leading a sales team and managing high-level client relationships. Reporting directly to the Sales Head for the Medical Devices Vertical, the Territory Head will drive revenue growth and ensure the delivery of world-class engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and grow a $20M+ portfolio across the East Coast, with a focus on increasing revenue in the medical devices sector.
  • Lead and manage a sales team of 3-4 professionals, providing mentorship and driving performance to meet territory goals.
  • Build and execute territory-specific strategies targeting areas such as surgical devices, diagnostics, imaging, and digital healthcare.
  • Identify new opportunities, cultivate existing accounts, and drive business development efforts across the med-tech landscape.
  • Establish and maintain C-level relationships with key stakeholders, promoting clients solutions in areas like product design, regulatory compliance, digital engineering, and connected healthcare.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and delivery teams to deliver customized solutions to clients in the medical devices vertical.
  • Drive commercial negotiations and manage contracts, ensuring profitability and alignment with client expectations.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements within the medical devices industry.
  • Develop data-driven sales strategies and regularly report on performance metrics and pipeline status to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA or relevant Master's degree is preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, specifically in the medical devices or healthcare technology industries.
  • Proven success in managing large portfolios and delivering double-digit revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of FDA regulations, product lifecycle management, and digital health solutions.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing high-performing sales teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments.
  • Superior communication and negotiation abilities, particularly in dealing with senior executives in med-tech companies.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the East Coast to meet clients and oversee business operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing $20M+ portfolios in the medical device or healthcare industries.
  • Familiarity with robotics, IoT, and AI-driven solutions within the medical devices sector.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulatory pathways, clinical trials, and product development in med-tech.
  • Certifications in sales strategy, project management, or relevant medical device qualifications.
