Job Description
As the Construction Site Supervisor, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily on-site construction operations, ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet quality benchmarks.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and tasks to maintain smooth workflows.
- Develop and manage project schedules, addressing any delays to meet deadlines.
- Monitor budgets, implementing cost-effective strategies while maintaining quality and safety.
- Enforce OSHA compliance and conduct regular site inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for stakeholders, resolving issues and ensuring clear communication.
- Maintain precise records, including daily logs, progress updates, and change orders, using tools like Procore.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-10+ years of construction management or site supervision, with a preference for wood-frame residential projects.
- Experience in historical restoration and redevelopment is highly preferred, as this project involves restoring four historic buildings.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Strong understanding of podium construction techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes in Connecticut.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Competencies:
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and on-site teams.
