Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and efficient clinical care to adult patients.
  • Lead department operations in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Manager, and Practice Manager.
  • Drive continuous improvement in provider workflows, patient satisfaction, and overall operational performance.
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain clinical providers and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
  • Analyze data to inform evidence-based decision-making and optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and ongoing improvement within the department.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Medical License: Active physician license in Connecticut (preferred).
  • Experience: Providing care to underserved populations with complex health needs.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, even with limited administrative experience.
  • Supervision: Experience supervising advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with EHR systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Alignment: Commitment to the mission and values of CHS, particularly a focus on quality care for all.
