About the job CNC Programmer
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and the ability to improve efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for mills and multi-axis machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting methods, and machine parameters
- Set up and prove out new programs on CNC equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
- Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production teams
- Ensure all programs meet quality standards and specifications
- Maintain organized program documentation and revision control
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of various materials (metals, plastics, alloys)
- Familiarity with tooling design and fixturing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Creo, Windchill, and Vericut)
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with multi-axis machining preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
