Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all food and beverage products.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure that inventory levels are optimal to meet production and sales demands.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods in the warehouse.
- Ensure that all food items are stored according to industry standards, including temperature and shelf-life requirements.
- Manage the picking and packing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.
- Quality Control and Food Safety:
- Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene practices within the warehouse.
- Monitor the condition of products to ensure they meet quality standards before distribution.
- Address any non-conformance issues promptly to prevent product spoilage or contamination.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of goods.
- Handle logistics-related documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Team Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including training and performance evaluations.
- Delegate tasks and set clear objectives to optimize team productivity.
- Promote a safe and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and warehouse activities.
- Generate regular inventory and performance reports for management review.
- Use warehouse management software (WMS) to streamline operations and data accuracy.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and implement best practices.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in the F&B industry.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is a significant advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in handling perishable goods and understanding their specific storage requirements.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics coordination.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
Work Environment:
- The role may involve working in cold storage areas and handling heavy items.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required to meet operational needs.
- Physical activity, such as standing, walking, and lifting, is a regular part of the job.
