Full job description

  • Perform a wide range of maintenance tasks including civil works, painting, minor plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards, maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of campus facilities.
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of regular preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are routinely checked, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including lighting, wiring, outlets, distribution panels, and related electrical equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide basic support for LAN systems, including network wiring, equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with network-related issues to maintain seamless campus connectivity.
  • Perform painting tasks for walls, ceilings, doors, and other areas needing touch-ups or full repaints.
  • Carry out minor fabrication tasks as needed, including creating simple structures or modifying existing ones to suit campus needs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, especially related to electrical or structural issues, such as leaks or system failures.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants by addressing urgent concerns immediately.
  • Assist in the procurement of tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure that materials meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain an organized inventory and request additional supplies when necessary to avoid delays in maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations when performing maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation. Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical skills, including certifications such as Master Electrician.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve maintenance knowledge and performance.
  • Minimum Qualifications: At least a graduate of High School or Vocational course
  • With minimum 6 months previous experience as maintenance personnel
  • Experience in performing general maintenance, repair and electric work for the safety and overall upkeep of campus facilities
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and management of electrical tools and inventory
  • Knowledge in building compliance and safety regulations
  • Amenable to work Monday to Saturday
