Who are we?

Trading Labs is a technology arm of Marble Bar Asset Management and looks after the fund's core investment platform that helps portfolio managers make better investment decisions. In particular, the system uses advanced behavioural analytics to help improve portfolio manager performance over time.

We are looking for a product manager with experience building technology for equity investors. Working with the head of technology, they will support the growth of the platform through tight communication with internal customers, a deep understanding of the customer needs and an outcome-based approach to delivering products,.


Role

Working with our head of development, you will be supporting the development of the RAID platform ensuring it becomes increasingly valuable for the portfolio managers.

You will build strong relationships with the portfolio managers as well as the firm's founders in order to deeply understand the problems they face and use this understanding to create and maintain a roadmap of technology features.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the research and delivery of the next iteration of our RAID platform (version 2)
  • Build a deep understanding of the needs of our PMs as the financial instruments that they invest in.
  • Create an exceptional, collaborative partnership with the Engineering Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect data and distil insights from across all relevant sources including our PMs as well as the firm founders
  • Turn those insights into a well-defined roadmap supporting the objectives the executive leadership sets.
  • Share best practices of product development with the entire engineering team with the goal of increasing the quality of product delivery company-wide.
  • Strive to be exceptionally outcome-focused where features are built and assessed vs quantifiable metrics decided in advance.

The Candidate

  • You have at least five years of experience supporting the development of a complex SaaS application as a product professional.
  • You must have experience building products that support investment professionals (equities experience is highly preferred over fixed income because this is what the company is mostly trading)
  • Deep understanding of agile practices and experience implementing/ improving those practices at previous organisations.
  • A demonstrated track record of using qualitative and quantitative measures to prioritise a product roadmap that drives measurable business outcomes.
  • Outcome focused. You judge everything you do by the outcomes that you deliver and hold yourself accountable to them.
  • You are comfortable in (and enjoy) extremely fast-paced environments that will stretch you out of your comfort zone.
  • Organised & detailed. From vision to roadmap to sprint, your operations and communications are precise, extensive, clear and derived from the first principles of users, data and shared success. Across all forms of communication, you combine flexibility and clarity to deliver information in various ways, so the entire audience is engaged, inspired and informed.
  • You engage in spirited constructive debates in a calm professional manner.
  • You build teams on a foundation of trust and hold a strong, action-oriented belief in the differentiating power of creating diverse, equitable and inclusive teams. You can provide examples from your track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing Product teams as a result.

The role is situated in London and there is an expectation to be in the office 4-5 days per week.
