The company
Our client, a fin-tech firm, has developed a technology / no-code solution that aggregates messages from every application in order to solve the problem of message overload. Imagine all your emails, slack messages, system notifications available in one place and prioritised according to your needs.
The technology has already been built and the company is already financed. Now they need someone to take this innovative technology to market.
What you will do
You will take an existing, sophisticated and convenient piece of software and convert it into a fully functioning business - from A to Z. This includes (but is not limited to) doing the following:
- Develop a deep understanding of the unified communications industry
- Assess the various end markets and build a go-to-market strategy
- Work closely with our leadership team to set the vision and shape the future of our product and technology to meet our business goals
- Own the product by working very closely with the CTO
- Communicate our product and technology strategy to customers, partners and shareholders
- Make the business case for large product and technology initiatives
- Hire, build, train and manage a team of both tech (to perfect the software) and sales professionals (to sell the software)
Who you are
You are a founder in spirit - either you have already built your own business (ideally in SaaS), or you have been dying to do so (and have an excellent idea of what this would take). Also, you are:
- Communicative & confident You will need to be a strong leader, able to communicate clearly and compellingly at all levels of the company
- Organised & focused You have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and you think about the implications of the work being undertaken
- A fast learner Able to quickly pick up new concepts and ideas and run at pace with them independently. You need to know our customer inside out
- Adaptive & flexible - You have a love for high-growth start-up environments, with the creative problem-solving ability to adapt rapidly to a changing landscape
- Super ambitious Our team is known to be crazy ambitious, so hopefully you can raise the bar. Lets build something great!
- Tech savvy You are enthusiastic about technology, you have a passion for innovation and new ideas
What you have & What youve done
- Youve probably been at least one of the following
- Management consultant at a leading consulting firm
- Previous founder
- Entrepreneurial product leader
- Experience working in or consulting with SaaS is a must
- Having been part of a early stage SaaS company that scaled fast is plus
- Experience hiring, coaching and managing top talent to establish and grow technology teams, experience with product teams a bonus
- Ability to focus on doing well but delivering product (not over-engineering)
- A player-coach mentality - at the start (for 6 months) you will be doing hands on product / marketing work, so you need the willingness to be hands-on
