The Role
The Operations Specialist works within ALT21's Operations department and will oversee all post-execution trade-related activity.
The primary responsibility of the Operations Specialist is to manage the lifecycle of each trade and ensure that both ALT21's internal and external stakeholders have their needs met.
The range of tasks includes confirmations, settlements, transaction reporting, reconciliations, and providing exceptional levels of client service.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out a range of daily operations duties including trade confirmations, settlements and client & regulatory reporting
- The primary point of contact for customers, ensuring operational needs are met and all queries are resolved in a satisfactory manner
- Partner with tech, change, sales and trading teams to propose, implement and improve operational processes
- Create and optimise processes efficiency is our priority; you will help us find the most efficient way to run operations
- Develop and execute strategies/initiatives to increase our operational efficiency and solve operational challenges. This will include establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders internal and external
- Contribute to the digitalisation of reporting capabilities, automation and transformation
- The role is hybrid but there is an expectation to be in the office 2+ days per week
Who you are
- You are familiar with FX, FX Options, FX Hedging and OTC Derivatives
- You have some experience working within a full life-cycle operations role for the above products
- Alternatively, Previous experience within a Back Office or Middle Office role or similar style role, working with traders, operations, relationship managers and clients
- Knowledge of processes such as payments, hedging, settlements, trade capture, confirmations and reconciliations
- A structured and considered mindset and approach to your daily role
- You enjoy the challenge of rapid growth, and you'll be significantly more proactive than the average middle-office professional
- You aren't afraid to speak your mind.
