Who you'll be working for

Assure Hedge aspires to re-invent and simplify the way people can access, distribute and consume currency hedging. In order to do that, the company has created an innovative platform which supports its partners provide hedging products and services to their end customers.

They sell these services via two methods

  1. A white-label platform that their customers can brand before offering to end customers.
  2. A set of APIs that their customers can integrate into existing software offerings.

They are a fast-growing business with offices in Dublin, London and Portugal that has raised a significant funding round to continue that growth

They are looking for a number of people to join their mission and they are particularly looking for people that see their career as more than just a 9 to 5.

The CASS & Controls team

The CASS & Controls team sits within the Finance team and operates at the intersection of finance and compliance. Compliance with CASS regulations requires  rigorous processes and this role is an opportunity for a hungry recent graduate with an eye for detail and a desire to work in finance / financial technology

  • CASS regulations exist to ringfence client monies in the event of a firm's insolvency
  • A fundamental requirement of the CASS Rules is that firms must keep client money separate from firm money in segregated client money bank accounts and register custody assets appropriately.
  • Companies like Assure Hedge must regularly report the status of client assets which requires a meticulous eye for detail.
  • CASS teams establish and monitor internal controls to ensure the firm's adherence to the law.


What you will be doing

you will be supporting the CASS & Controls lead in overseeing the operational effectiveness of the firm's systems and controls and working across the firm to build a robust compliance framework.

  • Ensuring the Resolution Packs are periodically reviewed and are up to date
  • Assist the Operations Lead and CASS Controls Lead in documenting the firm's operational flows and processes
  • Assist in updating CASS & Safeguarding policies
  • Assist in the completion of the monthly CMAR submission
  • Assist in preparing MI for monthly CASS/ Safeguarding & Ops risk Committees
  • Maintenance of internal Operational risk events register for your line manager
  • Support change initiatives, assessing the impact on CASS processes
  • Escalate any potential issues and breaches to the Operations Lead/ CASS Controls Lead
  • Develop and enhance safeguarding related processes and controls with treasury teams to ensure compliance with related policies and supporting audit requirements
  • Participate in ad hoc projects related to regulatory compliance, including system upgrades and process improvements

who you are

  • You have a minimum of two years of experience, preferably within an accounting or operations function
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A driven self-motivated individual who is looking to build their career in a Fintech
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Numerate skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external parties at all levels
  • Strong stakeholder skills- be able to build and maintain relationships across the business
