Overview of the Role

IU Group is split into numerous engineering clusters. Each cluster has a dedicated DevOps professional and there is a core DevOps team which supports all the clusters with hands-one infrastructural work.

This position is part of the Core DevOps team and s centered around operational excellence and hands-on execution in cloud operations. This role requires a candidate who can navigate complex cloud infrastructures, set up production clusters, and take a proactive approach in managing the company's core infrastructure.

Our technical stack includes Node.JS, Vue.JS, Typescript, Python, PHP, AWS, and Kafka

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cloud Operations: Lead and manage cloud operations, including the setup and maintenance of production clusters.
  2. Infrastructure Development: Contribute to the development and management of the company's core infrastructure, focusing on modern DevOps practices.
  3. Tooling Management: Be responsible for all core infrastructure tooling, including tools like DataDog and GitLab​​.
  4. Collaborative Work: Work closely with DevOps leads and developers, enabling them to effectively work on the infrastructure.

Experience Required

  1. Expertise in Cloud Operations: Demonstrated experience in cloud operations, including setting up and managing clusters in a production environment.
  2. Proficiency in Core Infrastructure Tools: In-depth knowledge of tools like DataDog, GitLab, and other relevant technologies used for core infrastructure management.
  3. DevOps Mindset: A modern DevOps mindset with the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  4. Leadership and Influence: Ability to lead by example and influence the team towards best practices in cloud operations and infrastructure management.
  5. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders within the organization.
