Title: Senior Instrument/Electrical Engineer

Description:
The Instrument/Electrical Engineer is a key member of the Maintenance & Reliability Group, supporting the
plants operation and reliability improvement efforts. This role works within a team environment and is
responsible for implementing reliability best practices, optimizing preventive maintenance tasks, and
assisting with maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily technical support in the field for instrumentation and electrical issues & projects
Manage and review Preventative Maintenance (PM) and inspection deferrals
Own and manage area maintenance procedures and ensure equipment files, spare parts, and Bill of
Materials (BOMs) are continuously updated
Understand and manage equipment obsolescence and upgrades, ensuring accurate information is
maintained in SAP or other relevant databases
Develop/complete Management of Change (MOC) documentation for maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, assisting in planning repairs or improvements
Provide technical expertise during the design and installation stages of new assets or modifications
to minimize costs and maximize asset reliability
Lead maintenance capital projects for equipment rebuilds or reliability improvements
Lead root cause inquiries related to equipment failures and present findings for management
review
Maintain calibration records and manage electrical documentation
Oversee RTAC system for primary power distribution and ensure accuracy of plant electrical prints
and schematics
Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC)
Experience with instrumentation, measurement technology, low and high voltage power
distribution, and PLC functionality
Power distribution and controls experience.
Familiarity with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), predictive and preventive maintenance
concepts, and reliability engineering practices
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical processing industries, or other relevant
industrial/manufacturing environments
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience (TapRoot or ProAct)
Proficiency with SAP and Maximo applications
Strong communication skills for conveying complex issues, mentoring, and building alignment
Ability to balance strategic and tactical priorities, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate strong
organizational skills.
