Job Purpose

To coordinate a small team of production operatives, ensuring efficient workflow, product quality, and compliance with food safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate tasks to operatives based on the production plan.
• Ensure staff understand their duties and receive on-the-job training.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and hygiene on the line.
• Perform regular quality checks and escalate any issues.
• Support new starters and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and traceability records.
• Act as first point of contact for team-related queries or concerns.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Organised and detail-oriented.
