Role summary
We are looking for an HR Learning and Development Manager with a strong background in retail training to lead our employee development initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive learning and development program that aligns with our business goals and supports the growth and development of our employees.
About the role
Develop and Implement Learning Strategies:
- Create and execute a strategic learning and development plan that aligns with the company's business objectives.
- Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to identify training needs and opportunities.
- Identifying gaps for improvements with corporate teams and retail employees
Retail Training Program Development:
- Design, deliver, and manage training programs tailored to the specific needs of retail employees, including sales, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Utilize industry best practices to enhance the effectiveness of retail training programs.
Curriculum Design and Delivery:
- Develop training materials, manuals, e-learning modules, and other resources to support training initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job training to ensure the development of retail staff.
Performance Evaluation and Feedback:
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Provide feedback and coaching to retail employees to help them improve their performance and skills.
Compliance and Certification:
- Ensure that all retail training programs comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Manage certification processes and maintain training records.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously assess and enhance the effectiveness of the training programs to adapt to changing industry trends and business needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest training methodologies and technologies.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the budget for learning and development initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on the progress and impact of training programs.
- Conduct pulse survey to measure program succession and increase engagement with all employees.
- Analyze data to make data-driven decisions and improvements.
What you will bring along with you
- Bachelor's diploma/degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or its equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
- Proven experience in HR Learning and Development with a strong focus on retail training, preferably within the retail industry.
- In-depth knowledge of retail operations, customer service, and sales.
- Strong instructional design and training facilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to drive employee engagement and development.
- Strong project management and budgeting skills.
