About the job [F/2025/009X] Executive Officer, Community Management
The role holder is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance business community engagement while overseeing and supporting a portfolio of MSMEs in their starting and growth phase.
This role involves fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, clients, and internal teams, to drive organizational growth, collaboration, and visibility.
Additionally, the role focuses on providing tailored support to MSMEs, helping them build the necessary capabilities to scale effectively and sustainably. A key aspect of this role is to identify and funnel new and existing companies into relevant BEDB programs to maximize their growth potential and align them with strategic business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Community & MSME Engagement:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to strengthen relationships with business community stakeholders and MSMEs.
- Ensure alignment of engagement initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Identify and direct new and existing businesses to appropriate BEDB programs for tailored support.
Stakeholder Liaison & MSME Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and external partners.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to enhance business community ties.
- Provide strategic advice and mentorship to MSME business owners and leadership teams.
Event & Program Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute high-impact business community events, such as industry roundtables, workshops, and networking mixers.
- Organize workshops, networking events, and capacity-building programs tailored to the needs of growth-stage MSMEs.
- Promote events through targeted outreach, digital marketing, and email campaigns to maximize participation.
Digital Community Building & MSME Development:
- Establish and manage an online business community platform (e.g., BEDB Business Community) to facilitate ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
- Curate and share relevant content, including industry insights, success stories, and opportunities, to maintain active engagement.
- Facilitate access to resources such as training, advisory services, funding opportunities, and market linkages for MSMEs.
- Guide businesses toward relevant BEDB initiatives that align with their development stage and industry needs.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as event attendance, networking engagement, platform activity, survey feedback, and partnership outcomes.
- Monitor and assess business performance, growth metrics, and development needs of MSMEs.
- Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance and provide insights to senior management.
- Deliver monthly progress reports highlighting achievements and recommending actionable insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Degree Holder or above in Business Management.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in MSME development, or community / business development, with a strong track record of driving engagement and supporting business growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic mindset, organizational skills, and project management capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of industry trends and best practices in business community engagement and MSME growth strategies.
- Proficiency in using business management tools and CRM systems; experience with Zoho Books or Airtable is a plus.
