Job Description-Project Quality Engineer
- Main Purpose of Position
Conduct compliance, internal and sub-contractor/supplier audits of products and processes, investigating non-conforming products/processes and ensuring corrective and preventive action is taken, in order to close out NCRs. Review product quality requirements for individual clients and projects, ensure those requirements are understood and implemented in order to meet the requirements of the contract specifications.
Advocate clients QSHE management systems within the business and ensuring that they are understood and utilised by everyone, supporting the SHE Manager on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Specific Areas of Responsibility-Project Quality Engineer
Carry out project QA activities in accordance with client contract requirements
Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
Assist Quality manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the integrated quality management system.
Work in line with management system and to support any improvement opportunities in process and work instructions
Review and conduct Risk and Opportunity assessment in accordance with project specific quality requirements.
Prepare quality reports and document quality related information in designated file location.
Carry out internal audit and supplier audit as requested by internal stakeholders, ensuring contract quality requirements are in accordance with client specifications by monitoring output against contract requirements and assisting in document preparation when necessary.
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the Contract specification, manufacturing quality plans, the quality management system and international standards.
Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
Analyse failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
Additional Tasks-Project Quality Engineer
Carry out, as instructed, any task deemed reasonable by the project manager, QC manager or director in the interest of the company.
