We are looking for two Quality Engineers to join a growing Aero Products Divisional Quality Department.
As Quality Engineers you will be working within a dynamic, cross my clients Products Divisional Quality Department, who strive to improve Quality Management Practices both internally across the wider Aero Products Division which consists of a further eight manufacturing, engineering sites.
The Quality Engineer roles are aimed towards individuals who are driven and determined to grow within the Aero Products Quality Department. , As the company will provide thorough training and development opportunities, this individual should want to with a view to progressing to higher Quality Assurance related roles (Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Manager) The role is advertised to coincide alongside a training and development plan to allow skills to be further developed. This role is aimed at a person aiming for a career in Aero Products as a key member of a multi skilled team.
Quality Engineer: compliance / audit [salary role, £38-42k + a performance bonus paid every six months]
- Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
- Minimum 3 years' experience (QE) required and must be within a metallic (sheet metal or machining) manufacturing environment
- Ideal candidate will be a timed served inspector (ability to read drawings, specifications and determine / understand if manufactured items conform) or experienced auditor
- Key process knowledge:
- Manufacturing methods from material to finished products (sheet metal / assembled or machined/turned)
- Aerospace / defence high standards of work
- The structure / workings of a QMS / IMS
- Various inspection methods (hand tools, Keyence, CMM)
- Non-conformance / MRB
- Concession raising
- Internal / external audits
- Personal skills: problem solving, effective decision making, waste elimination, continuous improvement identification, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking, excellent communication
