About the job Regional Sales Manager
Job Function/Purpose:
The Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region will be responsible for the day-to-day sales activities for the sales teams in these regions. The ideal candidate with reside in California. The responsibilities include hiring, training, and providing professional development for their teams, setting weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals based on the team's performance to date. They also generate reports tracking how well everyone achieves targets. The Regional Sales Manager must evaluate all aspects that generate new business while maintaining client relationships. They work closely with other departments like the accounting, marketing, service departments and operations to establish department budgets, encourage sales through marketing campaigns and address customer complaints. In addition, understand company initiatives and highlight new products to sell and cultivate sales pitches. They are also responsible for attending in-person meetings with clients and the account management team members on targeted accounts. The pay range for this role is between $125,000 and $135,000, determined by relevant job experience and other factors.
Key Accountabilities:
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
- Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives
- Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
- Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures
- Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
- Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service
- Setting discount rates and determining price points
- Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
- Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
- Setting sales quotas and goals
- Overseeing and directing performance of the sales team
- Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
- Defining and executing sales plans
- Accurately forecasting sales monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Working with manufacturers to accurately forecast Beacons purchases monthly
- Establishing key contacts within large accounts that can champion our cause and help drive standardization of our services
- Work with sales teams to promote all services and solutions that are represented on our line card
- Facilitate connections from our managed services department to establish ongoing service agreements and help provide clinical and other professional services
- Engage our on staff subject matter experts to help provide the best possible solutions for our customers
Job Qualifications:
To drive sales while maintaining good relationships with customers the Regional Sales Manager should have a passion for selling, be self-driven and have the following set of skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must be self-motivated and punctual.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in low voltage construction, estimating and project budgeting
- Experience in healthcare technology, security solutions, intercommunication systems, audio video solutions, and structured cabling estimating is desired.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations with employees with various personalities and emotions
- Must understand implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
- Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people

- Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
- Education:
- College Degree or approved equivalent.
- Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
- Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy
- Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives
- Planning, organization and problem-solving skill
- Advanced time management skills
Work Environment:
- A work environment can be an office environment, medical facility, educational facility, or a customer site under construction, renovation, or warehouse space.
- Job sites will have a variety of environmental factors including but not limited to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
- Candidate must have capability to transfer job sites as necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
- Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.
- Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.
- 40-50% travel requirement, as needed.
