SAP SD consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution to lead end-to-end implementations, enhancements, and support activities. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of order-to-cash processes, pricing, billing, logistics execution, and customer master data, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SAP SD implementations, rollouts, and support projects
• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into functional specifications
• Configure and customize SAP SD processes including:
  • Sales Order Management
  • Pricing and Condition Technique
  • Billing and Invoicing
  • Customer Master Data
  • Delivery and Logistics Execution
  • Credit Management and Returns Management
• Drive integration with other SAP modules such as SAP MM, FI/CO
• Handle system configuration, testing, and deployment activities
• Provide expertise in order-to-cash (O2C) cycle optimization
• Conduct workshops and interact with business users for solution design and process improvement
• Support data migration, cutover planning, and go-live activities
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide functional support
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
• Ensure best practices, compliance, and process standardization across sales and distribution processes

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in SAP SD functional consulting
• Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end SAP SD configuration
• Proven experience in S/4HANA environment (preferred)
• Deep understanding of Sales, Distribution, Billing, and Logistics business processes
• Experience in integration with FI/CO for billing, revenue recognition, credit management, and account determination
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Sales document types, item categories, and schedule line categories
  • Pricing Procedures and Condition Technique
  • Output Determination
  • Billing Plans, Invoicing, and Revenue Processes
  • Intercompany Sales, Returns, and Consignment Processes
• Experience in writing Functional Specifications (FS) and coordinating with technical teams
• Hands-on experience in UAT, testing, and business user support
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP CRM, SAP Commerce Cloud, or SAP Sales Cloud
• Exposure to logistics execution processes
• Knowledge of Fiori apps and S/4HANA innovations for Sales
• Experience in global template rollouts
• Understanding of integration with third-party order management, e-commerce, or logistics systems
• Italian language

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, IT, or related field
• SAP Certification in SD or S/4HANA Sales (preferred)
