Senior Solutions Architect

How you will contribute:

• Design architecture solutions for the IT systems complying with the IT architecture and technology; Act as a technical lead for design, build and approve the target architecture of the bank on various financial domains or platforms
• Ensures the cross-alignment between IT divisions regarding the architecture solutions proposed and the evolution of the architecture of IT systems.
• Plays the role of Technical Lead for complex solutions (inside a value stream, projects or during RFI / RFP period), ensures continuous and collaborative support to technical analysts including the delivery of the solution's Building Permit.
• Direct involvement in design, implementation and delivery software products acting as a member in a value stream (laboratory) or project member or by active participating to design, implement and delivery transversal software components (reusable components), by allocating up to 50% of her/his time.
• Performs the technical evaluation of projects and technical solutions and checks the compliance with the architectural principles agreed in IT Strategy. When needed, defines recommendations for changing them or requires the definition of alternative solutions.
• Act all the time as a consultant in relationship between IT division and business division (IT's clients) by:
  • Support PM and PO to refine the products and backlogs
  •  Delivery the impact in existing Apps/Systems and technical dependences cross projects/laboratories
  • Guiding about impact in infrastructure (if the case)
  • oOffer a technical support in alignment with ERSTE Group architecture
  • Evaluate from architecture point of view the technology resource & acceptance for various tools and technologies
• Solution definition
  • Defines and submits for analyse and approval by the members of Architecture Review Board of the technical solution in compliance with the architectural separation principles and with the organisational areas of responsibility.
  • Contributes to effort and cost estimations
  • Revises the requirements for the evolution of the technical architecture for the support infrastructure of or client's IT systems, ensuring the compatibility between the systems' architecture and the business continuity requirements.
  • Supports the selection process of software products to be integrated in the architecture of IT systems by performing the technical assessment of the proposed solutions.
  • Contributes to the definition of standards and architecture/security/design/ development procedures and monitors that they are actually enforced. Ensures the consistency between the software/hardware acquisitions plans and the system architecture and data requirements.
  • Participates in the definition of the principles for architectural evolution of IT systems. Proposes solutions for modernizing the existing architectures, depending on the technological market evolution
  • Contributes to the elaboration of the IT roadmap document, part of our client IT Strategy.
• Provides advice and upstream support to ensure the right scoping of Business Requirements during high level concept design of IT solutions
• Ensures the market intelligence about technology trends and the assessment of how they fit with the client specific architecture and business requirements
• Communicate with business stakeholders about agile processes to set and manage expectations about delivery methods and timelines.

What will help you be successful:

• 10+ years of experience in IT (minimal 2+ years in financial market)
• 3+ years of experience on a Solution or Enterprise archtiect possition (or similar one)

Business knowledge

• Knowledge about banking and banking products
• Good understanding of business processes and products from financial market domain (such as : funds, bonds, ETF, shares, FX, etC)
• Economic and financial knowledge (desired)
• Understanding and knowledge of plaforms landscape which support Financial Market industry (Avaloq, Temenos, Broadridge, FIS, Finastra, etc)

Technical knowledge

• Solid IT technology knowledge and of IT architecture standards and methodology frameworks (TOGAF)
• Technical and information technology knowledge
• Understanding of IT technology trends
• Solid knowledge of banking IT applications
• Expertise in Microservice architectute, Streaming, Spring Boot 2.7.x, Java 8/17/21;
• Experience with the following: microservices, RESTful APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), RabbitMQ, Oracle AQ, Maven, Git, code refactoring, design patterns, domain driven design, continuous deployment;
• Experience with the following: code refactoring, design patterns, behaviour-driven development, domain driven design, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, application security, pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development & incremental design, Linux;
• Preferably experience with OpenShift, AWS, GitLab, NoSQL data stores, ElasticSearch, Shell, Ansible, testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of application development standards
• Knowledge of IT architecture and IT infrastrcuture standards
• Knowledge of software modelling products
• Customer request analysis
• IT assessment tools and IT estimation tools (desired)
• Experience in IT strategy and IT roadmap design (desired)
• Experience on cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
• Knowledge of Agile software development process is preferred;
