DevOps Engineer – PostgreSQL - (26000849)

We are looking for a highly motivated Database Engineer specialized in PostgreSQL, to join our team and take ownership of data related activities. Data is a strategic asset for the bank, and we are undergoing a transformation to migrate the database infrastructure to new Cloud solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute scoping and implementation tasks for database migration to Cloud
• Perform scoping and implementation activities for data obsolescence management projects
• Define database architecture and deliver database environments for new applications
• Handle project-related support requests concerning PostgreSQL databases
• Perform database design optimization (modelling advice, index strategy, performance tuning)
• Conduct database audits on demand (architecture review, performance analysis, configuration review)
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure stability, availability, and performance of database services
• Contribute to the evolution of the database infrastructure and participate in process automation initiatives

Profile

Mandatory:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA and complementary some expertise in Oracle (or another DBMS)
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, installation, configuration, and performance tuning
• Proficiency with Linux environments (RedHat, CentOS or equivalent)
• Experience in database migration projects (ideally from on‑premise to Cloud)
• Understanding of high availability mechanisms (streaming replication, failover, backup & recovery)
• Experience with database modelling and SQL optimization
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (Shell, Python or similar)
• Experience working in multi‑environment contexts (DEV, QA, PROD)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned tasks
• English – professional level;
• French – intermediate (minimum B1)

Nice to have

Knowledge of managed database offerings on AWS (AWS RDS and/or Aurora)

Experience working in high availability or strong regulated environments
