About the job Technical and Commercial Director

Our client is  looking for a Technical and Commercial Director for the Middle East to:

- Set up and develop the Compagnie subsidiary for the Middle East market.

- Ensuring that all aspects of the Company's business get off the ground, so that it can meet the demands and projects of existing and future customers.

- To support and defend all the Company's skills and businesses in the MIDDLE EAST region, including the operational installation of audiovisual and digital equipment and the design and supervision of video, digital and interactive content.

Responsibilities 


Define and implement the operational strategy

Putting in place the appropriate procedures to ensure that the company operates efficiently;

Set up dashboards for business reporting;

Organise the working groups needed to develop the business in line with the various projects and business lines with local partners;

Management and control of services:

Sourcing new partners and auditing suppliers;

Ensuring competitive tendering for suppliers;

Set up a delivery schedule; monitor compliance with deadlines;

Coordinate the various suppliers in liaison with partner sites and/or subcontractors;

Anticipating any obstacles and/or problems relating to the implementation of the project, and alerting if necessary.

Budget management:

Negotiate prices with subcontractors and manufacturers;

Set up price sheets for each piece of equipment and/or item;

Calculate and monitor margins;

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's efficiency and profitability.

Reporting on activities to management;

Monitoring the accounts: collecting and transmitting accounting documents.

Customer follow-up and relations:

Participates with management in the implementation of a sales action plan required to

Business development and building customer loyalty

Manage customer accounts

Participate in customer tenders;

Draw up purchasing budgets and customer quotations.

Project management - new projects and reprints:

Taking the brief from internal and external contacts and gathering all the information needed to implement the project: studying the technical aspects and looking for products suited to the customer's needs;

Suggest technical and creative developments for new projects;

Drawing up budgets and quotations for the customer based on an analysis of requirements and/or equivalent operations carried out for the customer in the past, on the basis of an exhaustive inventory of costs and time required by in-house teams and the margins recommended by General Management.

Manage restocking projects (production monitoring, delivery, after-sales service, etc.).

Manage projects in line with costs, quality and deadlines

Ensure strict compliance with specifications and customer directives: check compliance and quality of deliverables, budgets, schedules, deadlines, etc.

Checking that the project is carried out correctly, from opening to closing a file;

Keeping a constant watch on development and research into new techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a technical and commercial leadership role, preferably within the luxury industry. Ideally the applicant could come from the Fit-out industry specialised in Luxe boutiques. 
  • Minimum 2 years in the Middle East
  • Capable to handle the operational installation of audiovisual and digital equipment and the design and supervision of video, digital and interactive content.
  • Extensive experience in business development and client management.
