Senior FS (React, Node, Express) Developer

Our client is a fast-growing ed-tech and software startup in the e-commerce space established in August 2023 by a serial founder. They are on a mission to empower Amazon sellers by providing an innovative platform, which includes a Chrome extension and a soon-to-be-launched mobile app, to help sellers find, source, and evaluate products for the Amazon marketplace. As a pre-launch company, they are gearing up to disrupt the industry with unique features that differentiate them from existing solutions.

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for their first engineer to replace a software house, specifically a Senior Full Stack Developer who is excited to join a small, passionate team and take ownership of the entire development process. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founding team, influence the product architecture, and grow with the company from the ground up with many opportunities once additional team members join.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of new features and maintain the existing Chrome extension.
• Own the architecture and implementation decisions, ensuring high-quality and maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with the team, including the COO, Amazon experts, and external design agencies, to iterate quickly and launch new product versions.
• Provide technical leadership and, in the future, assist in growing the development team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience in the apps tech stack: React, Node with Express / PostgreSQL as database and a solid understanding of AWS and Docker to occasionally work on the infrastructure.
• Proficiency in working with a Chrome extension is a must.
• Strong front-end and back-end development skills with a good understanding of architectural best practices.
• Exceptional self-management skills, with the ability to work independently and own progress without micromanagement.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Bonus: experience with React Native, although not required.

Big bonus: Familiarity with the Amazon seller ecosystem and their integrations/APIs, the Amazon marketplace business models such as arbitrage and dropshipping, and services such as Keepa, Rainforest, and Asinscope.
