Role Overview
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of order processing and despatch operations. This is a fast-paced, cross-functional role that requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to think both analytically and strategically.
The successful candidate will be solution-oriented, adaptable, and capable of balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of detail and customer focus. Success in this role depends on strong ownership, independence, and proactive communication. You will be responsible for managing customer orders from start to finish while coordinating across multiple teams to meet service targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming sales orders and generate documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage customer orders from entry through to delivery, taking full ownership of timelines, communication, and documentation.
- Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any potential issues.
- Track order progress from placement to despatch, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
- Prepare all despatch documentation in compliance with customer requirements and relevant regulations.
- Respond to sales and order-related enquiries, escalating or redirecting to the appropriate team members when needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams—Sales, Production, Warehouse—to ensure alignment and efficiency throughout the supply chain.
- Ensure all orders are dispatched on time and in full, with a goal of achieving 100% OTIF performance.
Qualifications and Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in a logistics, supply chain or order processing role (1-3 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of import and export documentation, procedures and regulatory compliance for international shipments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
