As Commercial Director at BarthHaas Greenhouse, you will lead the process of turning new ideas into products, solutions, and platforms that can be sold successfully. Your role is key to making sure innovations move from development to market and create real business growth. By managing the entire process from evaluating ideas to launching them in the market you will help increase profits and make the best use of resources.

HOW YOU COULD CONTRIBUTE 

  • Oversee the commercial activities of all Greenhouse projects, ensuring the development of consistent and reliable business cases and the accurate translation of these into sales forecasts. 
  • Communicate and ensure engagement with relevant stakeholders to enhance collaboration, optimize project outcomes and innovation uptake. 
  • Analyse market conditions: Within the brewing, beverage, hop and ingredients industry. Perform competitor analysis and actively monitor global and regional industry trends. Derive customer and end-consumer insights to guide marketing and sales strategies, refine product positioning, and lead the Bank of Ideas. 
  • Engage directly with customers alongside Sales and Brewing Solution teams to be our customers partner in R&D. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Directors to plan and execute campaigns that drive new revenue streams and support business growth to drive revenue growth. 
  • Create relationships within our Production teams to generate transparent production costs to allow for the development and agreement of pricing strategies. 
  • Work closely with Product Portfolio Directors to establish the new product roles and positioning within our Portfolio and conduct post-launch reviews both internally and with customers. 
  • Support and facilitate the training of sales teams on the innovation process, new product launches, and positioning within our portfolio. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • A business qualification in business administration, finance or a relevant field. MBA or PhD preferred. 
  • Experience of commercialising products / product offerings / services to market, within a B2B environment that have had notable impact on business or product portfolio. Preferred, but not essential, is experience within a B2C environment. 
  • A blend of commercial awareness, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic mindset.
  • A deep understanding of business operations, finances, sales and marketing tactics and market conditions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to enable them to work collaboratively with key shareholders, both within the business and externally. 
  • In-depth understanding of the beverage sector, customer insights and market analysis. 
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes. 
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and leadership ability to guide the business to achieve business goals. 
  • The ability to work comfortably within a Matrix Management system
