We are looking for an experienced Electrical Lead to join our international client on an Offshore Jack-Up Rig project. 

Requirements:  

  • Proven experience on Jack-Up / Drilling Rigs

  • Min. 6 years (within the last 10 years) as Electronic Engineer / Chief Electrician

or

  • Min. 8 years (within the last 10 years) as Electronic Engineer / Electronic Technician (or higher position)

  • Team management experience

  • Valid BOSIET / FOET     Authority Qualifications Experience

Mission

  • Coordinate the electrical team on conventional vessel, where experience and good electrical knowledge is necessary

  • Be responsible for electrical and electronic correct operation and maintenance, ensuring respect of HSE company procedures

  • Act as the Cyber Security Officer (CySO) in line with IMO maritime instruments, where applicable as per Organization Chart

Tasks

  • Supervise and monitor, with full autonomy, electrical and electronic equipment installed on board

  • Monitor and control supervising on-board electrical and electronic equipment according to safety procedures

  • Define maintenance work, set priorities, and propose maintenance schedule

  • Propose to the Chief Engineer the required quantity of material stock levels to maintain work continuity

  • Supervise the carrying out of work activities in compliance with safety procedures and practices

  • Ensure the efficiency of electrical and electronic equipment

  • Coordinate the electrical team for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance

  • Act as focal point for cyber security matters

  • Ensure compliance with the cyber security model established by the Company and with applicable standards

Authority

  • Carry out watch in engine room

  • Maintain safe working practices

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma in Electrical or Electronic sciences or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years experience (during the past 10 years) covering the position as Electronic Engineer (or higher position, e.g., Electrical Section Leader, Chief Electrician) for a non-Saipem rig

  • Alternatively, minimum 8 years experience (during the past 10 years) covering the position as Electronic Engineer/Electronic Technician (or higher position)
