Rig Chief Electrician (Drillship)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Rig Chief Electrician to oversee electrical maintenance activities on board a Drillship. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all electrical systems supporting drilling and marine operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities on board.
Ensure reliable operation of power generation, high and low voltage distribution systems.
Lead troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment associated with drilling operations.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, electrical safety procedures and company standards.
Coordinate electrical activities with other technical departments to support uninterrupted operations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Rig Chief Electrician on Drillships and/or Semi-Submersible units.
Strong knowledge of power generation, HV/LV electrical distribution and drilling electrical systems.
Experience leading electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of critical offshore equipment.
Good English communication skills.
