Chief Engineer / Drillship

Lead and manage the Engine Department to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of all propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems on board the Drillship. Ensure full compliance with company procedures, statutory regulations and offshore operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety, technical performance and operational efficiency. 

Engine Department Leadership

• Lead, supervise and mentor the Engine Department personnel.
• Ensure safe and efficient day-to-day engine room operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and high engineering standards.

Technical Operations

• Ensure the safe operation of propulsion, power generation and auxiliary machinery.
• Oversee planned and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate troubleshooting to minimise downtime.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and company procedures.
• Prepare for inspections, audits and statutory surveys.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE requirements.  

Requirements  

• Valid Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW III/2).
• Previous experience as Chief Engineer on a Drillship or Semi-Submersible.
• Strong knowledge of marine diesel propulsion, power generation and engine room operations.
• Good command of English.
