Objective:

Monitor quality of cable  components/products/deliveries during Test & Termination on and offshore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate record of all Installation & Completion activities on a daily basis throughout the execution phase
  • Ensure that all relevant approved procedures and risk assessments are followed by the contractor
  • Ensure the Contractor proactively executes safety and quality  updated on changes in the documents by example according to Baltic Power values 
  • Daily recording of activities relating to HSE, Quality & Commissioning
  • Lessons Learned 
  • Inspect, terminate and test offshore Export and Associated Cables
  • SAT Test Witnessing



Major Tasks:

  • Input to daily planning meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions to ensure that the works are being planned and executed according to the overall project execution plan.
  • Participate in weekly safety walks with HSE representatives from Baltic Power and Contractor organisations
  • During all defined key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness during installation. Access all work areas provided it is safe to do so
  • Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions to ensure that the works are being carried out in a safe manner to the required quality
  • Review and understand RA/MS and QHSE documents as required before execution phase commences and keep updated on changes in the documents
  • Participate in toolbox talks ahead of all work
  • Participate in preparing the DPR to be used
  • Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPR) as required
  • Ensure the DPRs are signed by all required parties
  • Daily recording of activities relating to HSE, Quality & EXC Loadout, Lay & Burial

Key Deliverables:

  • Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
  • Reporting of deficiencies and defects on equipment.
  • High quality execution of work tasks
  • Communicating with persons and inside BLP outside organization



Qualifications:

  • Offshore transfer; Survival at sea; Working at heights (GWO); Offshore medical; Confined Space etc. Mandatory), Offshore lifting experience and LOLER training
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience within specific package area, Marine awareness qualifications as required by the package role 
  • IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
  • IOSH Managing Safely
