Objective:

Monitor quality of WTG components/products/deliveries during Commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate record of all commissiooning activities on a daily basis throughout the execution phase
  • Ensure that all relevant approved procedures andrisk assessments are followed by the contractor
  • Ensure the Contractor proactively executes safetyand quality
  • At all times whilst on duty, act, behave and leadby example according to Baltic Power values
  • Daily recording of activities relating to HSE,Quality & Commissioning
  •  Lessons Learned

Major Tasks:

  • Report to the WTG Commissioning Manage
  • Input to daily planning meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions to ensure that the works are being planned and executed
    according to the overall project execution plan.
  • Participate in safety walks as requested by the Commissioning Manager
  • As directed by the commissioning manager accompany Contractor personnel on commissioning activiities, walkdowns,
    troubleshooting, String and WTG energisation,.
  • Be familiar with relevant contract and Contractor's documents as advised by the commissioning manager.
  • Report defects, non-conformity to the commissioning manager and ensure it is captured in the Contractor's reporting system.
  • Using BLP provided Quality system capture defects, non-conformity and walkdown results.
  • Perform handover/handback inspections on behalf of BLP with other Contractor's representatives
  • Access all work areas provided it is safe to do so
  • Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other discussions to ensure that the works are being carried out in a safe manner to
    the required quality
  • Review and understand RA/MS and QHSE documents as required before execution phase commences and keep updated on
    changes in the documents
  • Participate in toolbox talks ahead of all work
  • Participate in preparing the DPR to be used
  • Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPR) as required
  • Ensure the DPRs are signed by all required parties
  • Inspection on commissioning completion incl. review of running tests, performance tests, speed trip mechanisms, starting, and
    stopping routine, demonstration of the satisfactory operation of the yaw drive and brakes, mechanical state, and earth
    connections for transformers,
  • Check for complete removal of equipment and tools from WTG,
  • Joint inspection after run test consists of a thorough visual inspection of all parts of the relevant WTG, defects, damages, touch
    ups, review of revised procedure, operation, and maintenance documentation

Key Deliverables:

  • Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
  • Reporting of deficiencies and defects on equipment as requested by BLP Quality Manager
  • High quality execution of work tasks
  • Communicating with persons and inside BLP outside organization

Qualifications:

  • Offshore transfer; Survival at sea; Working at heights (GWO); Offshore medical; Confined Space etc. Mandatory), Offshore lifting experience and LOLER training
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience within specific package area, Marine awareness qualifications as required by the package role 
  • IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
  •  IOSH Managing Safely
