Mission

  • Ensure specialised technical support for the development, improvement and maintenance of Company fleet and related equipment and systems

Tasks

  • With regard to the equipment under own responsibility:
    Cooperate with all other internal functions to identify technical needs for vessels, equipment upgrades or new builds;
    Provide technical support on fleet upgrade and maintenance.
  • Optimize competencies and workload of technical office.
  • Develop feasibility study and conceptual design to meet the internal/external Clients requirements, defining execution plan in order to develop new capabilities and innovative solutions.
  • Implement of ordinary/extraordinary maintenance programs, coordinate subcontractors and assure that the quality of equipment/rig maintenance is in line with International standards and best practices.
  • Assure the updating of data concerning the certification of machines and equipment, by making arrangements to check current validity of said certification. Keep traceability of the tasks performed.
  • Based on defined requirements identify materials/services necessary to the project and, in collaboration with Procurement department, monitor purchasing process until order completion
    Coordinate and supervise the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance to ensure the full efficiency of the equipment.
  • Ensure technical support to the project for the implementation of the maintenance and the corrective actions to be implemented to solve the daily technical problems, within the assigned budgets.
  • Cooperate with all other internal functions to guarantee fleet equipment database updating
    Provide technical support to tendering activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors for the installation and commissioning of related equipment, in accordance with class rules and standards (i.e. DNV, ABS, etc) when required.
  • On the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, promptly notify the spare part requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands.
  • Plan necessary actions that shall be put in place to prepare assets for storage, including long-term preservation, handling and put back in operations.
  • Notify obsolete equipment, with request for relevant disposal proposal from balance sheet and assistance for inter-company sales and agreements (coordination of shipping, assessment of the value of assets, etc.).
  • Put into practice corrective actions to fix problems highlighted by safety alert bulletins, failure reports and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare and issue operating procedures, Corporate criteria and best practices for optimization of fleet activities.

Work Location: Onshore based, West Africa
