Job Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Officer to join a modern 7th Generation Drillship. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture onboard, ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, international regulations, and industry best practices while supporting safe and efficient offshore drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture onboard.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and international regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and workplace observations.
• Organize and participate in emergency drills and exercises.
• Monitor compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) and Risk Assessment procedures.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports and corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Maintain HSE statistics, reports, and documentation.
• Monitor waste management, environmental protection, and pollution prevention activities.
• Support management during client, flag state, and third-party audits.
• Advise supervisors and crew on HSE best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and applicable offshore regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as HSE Officer on an offshore drilling unit.
• Experience on Drillships is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of offshore HSE management systems.
• Familiarity with PTW, Risk Assessments, Incident Investigation, and Emergency Response.
• Good understanding of ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and international HSE standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Valid offshore certificates (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, Offshore Medical, etc.).

Preferred Experience

• Experience on 6th or 7th Generation Drillships.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Experience supporting client and regulatory audits.
• Previous international offshore experience.
