Main responsibilities:

  • Support to the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
  • Assisting with calibration of Survey and Positioning systems including alongside calibrations.
  • Performing QC dimensional control surveys.
  • Conducting observations of seawater parameters.
  • Understanding ROV offsets.
  • Supporting remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicle operations.
  • Performing survey and positioning operations associated with installation of subsea pipelines, umbilicals and structures, platforms, and jackets. and
  • Assisting with preparation of survey reports.
  • Planning survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
  • Ensuring that clear and accurate online survey logs are maintained, stored and backed up.
  • Acting as Report Coordinator if required producing field reports and memos.
  • Communicating effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
  • Participating in risk assessments and tool box talks in the course of day-to-day activities.
  • Conducting all activities following Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Adhering to Company safety, health and environmental procedures and policies.

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Hydrographic Surveying or a related subject (or an appropriate military qualification)
  • A solid understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques
  • Min 3 to 5 years or above relevant (offshore) experience
  • Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
  • Ability to work both independently and within an international team
  • Experience in industry standard survey packages required
  • Fluent in English.

MUST HAVE - Technical experience:

  • EIVA NaviPac and TMS
  • Shallow water pipe-lay operations (s-lay)
  • Anchor barge operations
  • GAPS USBL
