Our client is a well-established 5‑star lifestyle luxury hotel, part of an internationally renowned hospitality group, situated in one of Jakarta's most sought‑after locations. They are seeking an inspiring and forward‑thinking General Manager to steward the property, elevate operational performance, and curate exceptional, world‑class guest experiences.

As General Manager, you will lead the full spectrum of hotel operations — Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Spa & Wellness — ensuring seamless execution, refined service delivery, and a consistently elevated guest journey. You will champion revenue growth, profitability, and brand excellence while nurturing a culture of creativity, authenticity, and uncompromising standards.

Requirements

    • Lifestyle Hospitality Expertise — Deep understanding of the lifestyle luxury concept and its guest expectations
    • General Manager Experience — Minimum 8 years in a GM role within luxury hospitality
    • Indonesia Market Experience — Minimum 2 years of experience working in Indonesia, ideally within city hotels or high‑volume operations
    • Financial Acumen — Exceptional command of financial performance and commercial strategy
    • Attention to Detail — Meticulous, quality‑driven approach
    • Passion for F&B — Genuine enthusiasm for culinary innovation and elevated dining

Key Responsibilities

Business Performance

  • Discuss with Vice President Operations and establish operating budget and financial forecast for the hotel
  • Lead and guide the budgeting process of individual department and adhere to the established guidelines
  • Analyze monthly P&L and month-end reports, identify deviation from business plan goals
  • Hold daily Operations and Monthly Management meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals and develop the annual business plan related for all departments
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to Vice President Operations

Operation

  • Manage and establish positive owner relations through proper and appropriate communications with the appointed Owner's representative
  • Follow appropriate protocol in communicating with the appointed Owner' representative and keep Vice President Operations informed of such communications
  • Lead and guide the Executive Committee team in driving the hotel revenue for all revenue centers to achieve goals and objectives set
  • Survey and analyze competition, market trends, guest mix and needs. Evaluate and recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Ensure proper documentations and obtain approval before commissioning marketing, advertising, sales, and promotions.
  • Ensure all Marketing and PR Communications are in compliance with Brand Marketing guidelines
  • Be present to personally welcome key residents and patrons, and entertain key accounts' representatives
  • Communicate in an effective and timely manner with Vice President Operations matters which require his/her attention
  • Represent the Brand in projecting a credible image to the market, residents and colleagues alike
  • Comply with established guidelines on the hotel organizational structure and reporting lines
  • Be visible around the hotel and show an active interest in our colleagues' welfare

Team Management

  • Interview, select and recruit Management team
  • Identify and develop team members with potential
  • Conduct performance review and manages performance issues that arise within the management team
  • Constantly monitor team members performance, attitude and degree of professionalism
  • Work with People & Culture function to ensure appropriate hiring, training, motivating, coaching, counseling and development of team members according to the changing needs of the business
