About the job Head of Events

Our client is an award-winning integrated 5* luxury resort estate in South Bali. They are seeking  a dynamic and visionary Head of Events to support their multiple established Ballroom and Event Facilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of strategic leadership experience in MICE, Catering, or Event Management within luxury integrated resorts, 5-star properties, or top-tier convention facilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or Business Administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale MICE operations, international conventions, high-end weddings, and complex banqueting logistics.
  • Demonstrated success in driving event revenue while maintaining collaborative synergy with F&B and operational teams.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and relationship-building capabilities, adept at liaising with high-net-worth clients, corporate organizers, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong business intellect with the ability to balance high-level strategy with operational excellence.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); fluency in additional languages is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Direct the strategic planning and financial performance of the MICE & Catering division, optimizing venue yield and maximizing revenue across the resort's ballrooms, outdoor lawns, and event facilities.
  • Formulate and execute forward-thinking MICE and catering strategies to solidify the resort's standing as Bali's premier destination for international conventions, high-profile corporate summits, and prestigious social events.
  • Lead strategic destination marketing efforts, enhancing the property's global prestige among top-tier international meeting planners, conference organizers, and luxury wedding buyers.

Commercial Acumen & Business Development

  • Apply sharp commercial acumen to drive profitability, leveraging dynamic strategic pricing, high-value contract negotiations, and targeted business development initiatives.
  • Cultivate and nurture high-value relationships with corporate accounts, global event agencies, luxury wedding planners, and strategic industry partners to secure sustained long-term revenue.
  • Monitor global MICE trends, competitor benchmarks, and emerging market opportunities to continually refine the resort's competitive edge.

End-to-End Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the complete event lifecycle—from initial lead acquisition and strategic planning to flawless on-site execution—ensuring an elevated client journey.
  • Guarantee the seamless execution of large-scale conferences, international conventions, and bespoke luxury weddings, upholding the highest benchmarks of 5-star hospitality service.
  • Ensure all event management, banquet operations, and service workflows adhere strictly to resort brand standards, corporate policies, and service excellence protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Empowerment

  • Partner closely with the EAM of MICE & Catering and F&B Service Leadership to ensure fluid synergy across MICE Sales, Catering, Banquet Operations, and Culinary teams.
  • Inspire, mentor, and build a high-performing MICE & Catering team, cultivating an environment centered on innovation, personal accountability, and service perfection.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications department to launch targeted promotional campaigns that elevate the resort's profile across domestic and international MICE channels.
  • Deliver accurate revenue forecasts, performance analytics, and strategic business evaluations directly to senior executive management.
