Our client is an ultra-luxury resort, recognised globally as a reputable wellness brand in the Maldives. They are currently seeking an experienced Herbologist to design and deliver exceptional herbal wellness experiences, develop remedies and blends, and share expertise through guest programs and team training.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in the related field.

Degree in Natural Health Studies and/or Traditional Naturopathy, with specialisation in Herbology.

Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting is an advantage.

Strong proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.

Background working in a remote island environment is preferred.

Support wellness team performance by being approachable, reliable, and maintaining high levels of guest service and treatment quality.

Design and lead workshops and lectures within the area of herbal expertise.

Adhere to the team handbook, workplace rules, and professional standards, serving as a role model for colleagues.

Ensure herbology centers and retail areas are well-stocked, clean, and regularly monitored.
- Create and develop herbal remedies and specialized tea blends, and conduct workshops in alignment with wellness and herbal practice guidelines.
- Take personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, maintaining clear communication with both guests and team members.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, hygiene, and punctuality.
- Ensure wellness facilities are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in line with health, safety, and government requirements.
- Adhere to all resort policies regarding fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety, and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Deliver friendly, efficient, accurate, and polite service to both guests and colleagues at all times.
- Manage the opening and closing of herbology facilities and ensure smooth guest experiences.
- Remain flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing operational needs or assigned tasks.
- Create, blend, and produce herbal ingredients for treatments, and contribute to the development of specialized wellness product lines.
- Carry out instructions from management and assist with operational needs as required.
- Report maintenance or equipment issues promptly to the appropriate manager.
- Stay informed about current and upcoming services, and contribute ideas for improvements or new service offerings.
- Provide specialized treatments and support training in areas such as herbal therapies, holistic wellness, and related practices.
- Assist in monthly inventory checks and ensure accurate stock management of spa and herbology supplies.
- Be aware of departmental budget needs, supporting initiatives to maximize revenue and minimize costs through effective sales approaches.
- Attend operational meetings, contribute constructively to discussions, and translate operational needs into team training sessions.
- Support the onboarding process by facilitating departmental orientation for new team members.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management or guests.
