Financial Controller
About the job Financial Controller
Our client is an independent 5-star luxury boutique resort located in Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. They are currently seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the property's financial operations, budgeting, reporting, cost control, and overall financial performance while supporting strategic business decisions and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting within the hospitality industry

Previous experience as Financial Controller or Director of Finance in a luxury hotel or resort environment preferred

Strong understanding of hospitality financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

Experience handling financial audits, taxation, and compliance matters

Knowledge of hotel accounting systems and financial reporting tools

Strong analytical, organisational, and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Indonesian nationality preferred
- Open to local Indonesian candidates only
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations of the resort, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports

Monitor and control operational costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability

Manage budgeting processes, financial planning, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and audit requirements

Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions

Develop and implement internal controls, financial procedures, and reporting systems

Support management with strategic financial analysis and business decision-making

Coordinate with department heads regarding budgeting, purchasing, and cost management

Oversee inventory control and financial reconciliation processes

Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and relevant government authorities
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with hospitality industry standards
