Our client, a renowned luxury island resort in the Maldives is seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie (Sushi) to join their team. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and skilled in authentic Japanese and contemporary sushi preparation.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or CDP Sushi in 5* luxury hotels or resorts
- Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, knife skills, and presentation techniques
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural kitchen environment
- Previous Maldives or island remote location working experience is a plus!
- Able to plan and introduce creative menus for daily rotations and special events.
- Experience in both high-volume and à la carte cooking.
- Outgoing personality, team-player, self-managed, problem-solving skills, adaptability, resilience to multitasking.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes with precision and consistency
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory, and quality control
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
- Supervises the production of recipes and costing for all dishes and sushi food preparations served in the resort are accurate and updated.
- Ensures that the cost of operating supplies is controlled and within budget.
- Trains team members on all aspects of the job in the department. Ensures that the department is complying with the safety and security rules of the resort and the country. Ensures that the department is complying with the safety and security rules of the resort and the country.
