About the job Chef de Partie - Chinese Cuisine
Our client is an ultra luxury resort, recognized globally as a hospitality leader in the Maldives. The Chef de Partie - Chinese Cuisine is responsible for preparing authentic Chinese dishes, maintaining quality standards, managing inventory, collaborating with the kitchen team, and ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position with solid experience in Asian and Chinese cuisines.
- Culinary diploma in a relevant field from a recognised institution.
- Have a complete understanding of the Hygiene, Health, and Safety standards.
- The ability to produce excellent high-quality food.
- A positive attitude and a pleasant personality.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior experience in an ultra-luxury resort and the ability to adapt to working in a remote island/resort environment in the Maldives is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Preparing and presenting authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels of ingredients specific to Chinese cuisine and placing orders as necessary.
- Hygiene and Safety: Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met in accordance with the resort's policies.
