Our client is an award-winning ultra-luxury resort, recognized globally as a hospitality leader, is actively seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to contribute to their dynamic team.
As an assistant bar manager, your role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation and high standards of the bar. You'll oversee daily activities, ensuring that the bar runs efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff to ensure they provide excellent customer service, managing inventory to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage, and maintaining cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bartending or similar role, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Female candidate is encouraged to apply.
- Comprehensive knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits.
- Familiarity with inventory management, POS systems, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Quick decision-making ability and adept at resolving conflicts or customer complaints.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional certification or training in bartending or hospitality management, is a plus.
- Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth functioning.
- Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling bar staff.
- Monitor and manage bar inventory levels and ordering.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and resolve all issues in the bar area.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health standards.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and achieving revenue targets.
- Ensure adherence to alcohol laws, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Assist in planning and executing promotions and special events.
