Our client is a five-star resort with multiple F&B outlets, recognised globally as a hospitality leader for its legendary service, world-class spa retreats and distinct dining concept and is currently seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead their sales and marketing division.


Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in a similar role within an ultra-luxury brand, with an essential work experience in the Middle East region.
  • Experience in leading and managing a sales and marketing team in a similar positioning and size.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to create objectives and make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership & communication skills, confident, and ability to build relationships.
  • Self-motivated, well organized, ability to multi-task, and detail-oriented
  • Understand the non-traditional, experiential approach of a luxury property.
  • Must have advanced market and industry knowledge.
  • Advanced selling skills with familiarity with emotional intelligence.
  • Business leadership, cross-cultural work environments exposure, and critical problem analysis/resolution skills.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • A proven track record of driving impactful business results from previous experiences in ultra-luxury brands or similar five-star establishments.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy that enhances the hotel's presence, voice, and brand awareness in the city.
  • To identify and maximize revenue streams from both international and local markets and to formulate and implement appropriate sales and commercial strategies to drive revenues from the trade and industry segments including travel agencies, group, MICE, banqueting and corporate.
  • To lead the creation of new commercial growth initiatives and deliver business in high growth sectors.
  • To collaborate closely with corporate and regional sales offices to establish measurable targets for the hotel and ensure their successful achievement.
  • To maintain close relationships with key decision-makers both in local and international markets and to meet and entertain influential clients for the hotel
  • To review & propose worthwhile overseas trade and travel functions for the team to support the hotel's business strategy as well as the overall image of the hotel. Where there is potential for future business, to represent the hotel on selected travel trips a year.
  • To strategically direct Catering and Conference Service Sales Team in identifying market opportunities for increasing the revenue produced by group meetings, functions and outside catering services and be responsible for the strategic direction and operation of the Sales, Group and Events Teams in the hotel.
  • Provide advice and support to Food & Beverage and Spa Department to drive revenues to achieve and exceed their targets in the hotel.
  • To communicate assertively and openly with corporate and regional sales offices, ensuring they are fully informed about the property's strategy and performance.
  • To closely manage the performance of the team for the hotel, monitoring performance, coaching and directing as appropriate in order to achieve the hotels business objectives. You will lead with a sense of responsibility, showing genuine care and concern for others.
  • To be jointly accountable with the Director of Revenue Strategy for achieving the hotels rooms RevPAR, average rate and occupancy targets, as specified in the Sales & Marketing Plan.
